Curriculum

What is it?

Focus Music proudly offers the renowned Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) syllabus, delivered by our exceptional instrumental teachers. With a tradition spanning nearly a century, AMEB stands as the epitome of prestige and recognition in the Australian music industry.

As your child explores their musical potential, they will progress through carefully structured grades (Grade 1 to 8) within the AMEB system. Similar to coloured belts in martial arts, each grade represents a new level of skill and accomplishment.

What sets AMEB apart is its inclusivity. Regardless of the instrument your child chooses, whether it's piano, guitar, violin, or drums, they can embrace the AMEB curriculum. Both the RockSchool (contemporary genre) and Standard (classical genre) streams are available for all instruments.

Getting your child involved in the AMEB program is a seamless process at Focus Music. Simply inform our office, and we will provide all the guidance and information you need to get started. Our dedicated staff will ensure a smooth integration of the AMEB syllabus into your child's musical education.

By embracing the AMEB system at Focus Music, your child gains access to an internationally recognized curriculum that fosters technical proficiency, musical theory knowledge, and performance skills. AMEB examinations offer measurable benchmarks of progress and hold value in academic contexts.

Combine the excellence of AMEB with our exceptional instrumental teachers at Focus Music. Contact our office today to embark on a musical journey filled with growth, accomplishment, and endless possibilities.
