Summer School Camp
Summer School January 2022
In the last 3 weeks of the January Summer Holidays, Focus Music offers a unique and exciting range of programs to both educate AND entertain your kids.
Summer School Camp Day
We are excited announce TWO massive day-long camps as part of our Summer School activities in January 2022.
Camp 1 - Tuesday 11 January 2022
Camp 2 - Friday 21 January 2022
Your child will participate in workshops on guitar, drums, keyboard and vocals throughout the day.
They will be learning how to play a particular song on each of those instruments.
At the end of the day, participants will choose the instrument they enjoyed most and play that instrument in a "band" setting.
The day will conclude with a mini performance to friends and family of the song the group has learned.
Each camp will offer a different song for participants to learn, so they can enrol in one or both camps.
Location: Focus Music Forrestfield - 45 Sussex Road, Forrestfield (Edinburgh Road entrance)
What ages is this event suitable for? Ages 7-15
How many people can attend each camp? 12 SPOTS ONLY!
How much does it cost? $90 for the full day
How do I book?
Is prior experience required? No. Our experienced team will structure the learning to ensure it is accessible to participants with no prior experience. However, if they do have instrument playing experience, we will provide opportunities for your child to extend themselves as well. All instruments are provided but participants can choose to bring their own guitars should they have one.
Is Lunch / Dinner provided? Yes. Focus Music will provide a Sausage Sizzle for participants half-way through the Camp Day... and some lollies during the day!
Which teachers will be facilitating the camps? The camps will be run by our very own Managing Director Daryl Eagle, with the assistance of selected teachers for some of the instrumental workshops.
Does the participant have to stay the whole day? Yes. The Summer School Camp is structured as a full day.
Does the parent have to stay the whole day? No. Parents are encouraged to attend the mini concert at the end of the day. However throughout the Camp itself, it is preferred that parents leave their participant in our team's capable hands. This is so the children aren't distracted and we can also build the excitement for them to show you their hard work at the of the day.
